"...Thank you..."  Corelia withdraws the pouch and holds it tightly to her chest.  They'd never had two gold coins to rub together, let alone a whole bag.  She can't even comprehend just how much money that is.  Maybe they could get a floor put in.  Her eyes flick over to Cat.  No, that's not an option.  But...aside from their food, what could they possibly do with all that money?  "...What..."  She tries to ask a question, but freezes up.  She creeps over to Cat and whispers something in his ear.  "How much is in there?" he whispers back.
"A lot...it's gold, too..."
Cat pretends to look into the pouch held in front of him, reaching up and hefting it with his hand.  "Is there nothing else we can do for you to earn this?" he says over his shoulder to Lilibeth.

Catalin resumes eating, still quietly.  Corelia gives a relieved smile, satisfied with Lili's answer, before returning to her previous timid self.  "Oh, uh...It's not...important...Um..."  Her eyes go to the money pouch again, and she holds it back out to the other woman.  "...Too much," she says quietly.

Corelia averts her eyes, closing the coin pouch.  "Oh, he's fine.  He's just..."  Catalin gives a small shake of his head as he eats his soup quietly, bending it directly into his mouth without use of the fork.  "...different," she finishes, turning her eyes back to Lili.  "You couldn't know.  You...don't...do you?" she asks, looking for confirmation in her eyes.  Catalin stops eating for a moment to listen.

Corelia slowly shakes her head, her yellow locks swaying with the motion.  Her eyes turn away for a moment as she gives her answer, to her brother.

At that moment, Catalin sits up with a yawn.  His sister smiles and hurries over to him and kneels while he rubs his eyes tiredly, and he motions to the fireplace where the fire was recently doused.  The water separates itself from the ash and flies through the air to his face, where it splashes and he rubs it further.  "I swear, Elli, I have the strangest dreams on shopping day."  He reaches up and pulls Corelia's face down to his and gives her a light kiss on the cheek while she blushes and points over to Lili.  "There was a g-"  He stops and pulls his hood over his head, shadowing his face as he remembers that they're not alone.  "Hello," he says neutrally.
"Kitten, this is Lili," Corelia says quietly to her brother, hugging him from behind.  All of a sudden she seems entirely more at ease, smiling more easily and even speaking slightly louder.  "She's nice," she whispers.
"Lili..." he whispers back, seeming to expect something more.
"...Lilibeth."

Corelia licks her bowl clean, then stands and puts it over by the water pump for later cleaning.  "It's...um...okay."  She retrieves the bucket from next to the fire and brings it to the pump as well, filling it with water and bringing it next to the fireplace where she removes the still-boiling soup from the fire before dousing it with the bucket.  The rest of the soup she brings over to Catalin's side, along with the bowl and fork Lili had used for her soup.  Her work done, she returns to her spot again and sits once more, brushing her hair back from her face.

Corelia takes the opportunity provided by the silence (which she doesn't really see as awkward) to take a few more bites of her soup, finishing up the solids and leaving just the broth.  Then she puts her fork down and tips her head back to drink the soup broth, unshadowing her face for a moment.

At the question, she puts her hand to her mouth again and thinks for a bit.  "5 months," she mumbles.  Then, seeing that more might be expected of her, she continues.  "2 weeks.  4 days.  Um..."  Her eyes turn to the door in an attempt to check the light through the gaps.  "...5 hours...or so..."  She trails off.

Corelia blushes slightly again at Lili's stare, averting her face.  "I...uh..." she says, her voice the quietest it's been.  She peeks sideways through her curtain of hair and nods instead to answer.

Corelia relaxes again when Lili's eyes leave her, and she even lets out a quiet giggle.  "No, not a cat...Cat.  He's my twin brother."  She gives a point to the other side of the room, then her eyes widen.  "Oh, right."  She puts down her soup and stands, walking over to the sleeping man and easily picking up him and the blanket in one motion.  She then carries him over to the recently-vacated sleeping mats and lays him down on one.  He rolls over and resettles, mumbling something under his breath about the bridge being too wide.  She takes his hand and squeezes it affectionately, then stands and returns to the wall where she left her soup.

Corelia thinks for a moment on how best to answer.  What was it about Cat that let him talk so easily?  If it was that he was a boy, that wouldn't help her.  Maybe because he did it so often?  A bit late to do that in preparation.  Hm...
She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes and immediately becomes visibly more relaxed.  Maybe that's his secret!  She smiles and opens her eyes again, tensing up again quickly before closing them again to speak.  "IlearneditfromCat he'stheone...who...healed..." she says in a rush, slowing down after opening her eyes again to look up at Lili, a slight blush on her cheeks.

Corelia withdraws her hand from the vigorous shake to clutch the bowl tighter to her chest, drawing her knees up slightly, giving the impression of a spooked pill bug.  "L-likewise," she murmers softly, still keeping her eyes on Lilibeth.  Her gaze darts to the soup again, then back to Lili.  "W-would...like...more?" she asks, voice barely more than a whisper when she says the last word.  Oh how she wishes Cat would wake up.  He's so much better at talking.

Corelia pushes some of her hair back behind her ear, where it immediately falls forward again since she doesn't lift her head much as she does so.  One hand clutches her soup to her chest while the other reaches out to gingerly give Lilibeth's a shake.  "...Corelia," she blurts out, first kind of loud before growing quieter as she says her name.  Her hand has calluses, a feel to them that suggests they're no stranger to work.

"Y-you're...uh..."  Corelia tries to reply once more before giving up at speaking and settle for a small, nervous smile and a nod in response to the other's thanks.  She picks up the only other bowl and fork in view and serves out a portion of the soup for herself, brushing a strand of hair back into place behind her ear as she rises from over the pot to sit against the wall.  She leans forward over her soup, the hair behind her ears falling forward to shade her face slightly.  She eats slowly, an eye on Lilibeth at all times, not making a sound.

Corelia straightens from her soup she's been stirring as she's addressed, dropping the handle of the ladle to lean with a clatter against the side of the pot.  "Oh!  Uh...you're...um...it was...uh..." she sputters out, blushing and taking a slight step back.  Her eyes dart to her sleeping brother then back to the other woman.  "I...u-uh..." she continues, clearly trying to say something but unable to as she draws her arms in towards herself, one hand going to her mouth.

"...um."  Her head bows and she averts her eyes, which fall on the cooking soup once more.  She quickly grabs out the ladle and fills a bowl with it and grabs a fork as well, putting it in and holding the bowl out towards their guest.  "...here."

Corelia turns at the sound of shouting just in time to see a fist-sized clump of dirt barreling towards her from behind.  Reflex tosses her to the ground, pulling her brother after her in a heap by the hand she was holding.  He lets out a disgruntled "Oof" as their groceries spill from his bag, a few potatoes and beans mostly.  Wasting no time, he pulls his hood back up and recovers from the fall enough to disentangle his hand from his sister's and crawl out to retrieve them, sweeping his hand to find them.  That finished, he stands and steps gingerly back to his sister and helps her to her feet as well.  They begin a whispered conversation, and he begins swirling his left hand.

Close behind Catalin walks his sister, quietly following him.  Her long black dress is nicer than his simple earthen-colored garb, though certainly a far cry from the finery of further up in the city and the social ladder.  She holds his left hand in her right, not because of her present and nervousness from being in public (though it's rather real), but in case he falls like he sometimes does.  At least at this level they're on soil, so he can usually sense the ground except during very dry times, but with his foot problems he can't always keep his balance.
